4 Things to Do in January

Happy New Year!!! I hope you had a great start into 2017, eh 2018! And of course, I wrote 2017 straight away - anybody else who doesn’t get the right date until March? I’m such a creature of habit!
ANYWAY, even though it seems like I’m always forgetting that we’re in a new year, I genuinely enjoy the first few weeks – everything is fresh and ready for a new era. And I’m not even talking about resolutions right now! January is just the perfect month to get shit done – weather it’s the much needed clear out of your wardrobe or just trying out new recipes – there’s new energy and you can do whatever you want! And therefore, I have a list for you today about four things which will help you to have a fresh start to twenty eighteen!! And who doesn’t like a good old list, right?

Is there another month which is more perfect for decluttering than January? Well in my opinion, no there isn’t! It’s so relieving since you get rid of the old year and start the new one with more space for things the future will bring – like a beautiful dress or new eyeshadow palettes. Personally, I desperately needed to sort out my wardrobe, because there wasn't a word which would describe this maaaassive mess properly! It was just horrendous! But now it's nice and well-sorted!

Go shopping
There’s something about January which always make me hit the shops! I don’t know if it’s the Christmas gift vouchers’ fault or just the feeling of getting something new in the new year. No matter what it is – I LOVE shopping in January! However, one of my new year’s resolution is consuming more thoughtfully and using less plastic, so I won’t shop like a maniac this year. But I’m sure that I’ll hit the shops at least once because I really need some stuff – like some black gloves and a glass bottle. And apart from actually buying stuff, I just love window shopping with my friends.

Get out
Well, this one won’t be for everybody – especially not for those who freeze to death every winter! Personally, I love winter and it’s my fave season! Therefore, I want to get out the house, go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air! If you feel a little bit crazier, go for a run. Just take a some time to enjoy the nature – probably there’s snow YEAH! – get wrapped up in a big coat, an even bigger scarf and a hat and stroll around with your loved ones.

Truth to be told, we all know that Christmas and New Year’s Eve is a whole lot of stress. Even though there're plenty of holidays and we love this time of the year, a million family reunions and hosting some dinner parties is def no rest. Apart from the family insanity, all the food and treats leave my skin in a very, very bad condition. Oh and don’t forget about the cold weather, which dries out your skin even more! Therefore, my skin needs a LOT of attention. A long with a very moisturising skincare routine, I also love to take long baths and read some books before bed. So, don’t stress to much about work and resolutions – take some time for yourself too. You have twelve months to make 2018 YOUR year! Rome was not built in one day.

Well, these are the things I personally love doing in January and I think these few activities really fit this month. So, let me know in the comments if you had a great start to 2018 and what things you like to do in January. 1. What a nice one! I've been doing tiny bits of decluttering myself. And I also love shopping on Januarys but I do need to save some money after the holidays! Hahah and the plastic thing is a good thing to keep in mind of for a resolution.
    Have a good week!
