4 Favourite Tracks | Summer 2017

I haven’t spoken about music in my tiny corner of the internet yet, but actually it has very important role in my life! I enjoy making music – I’m playing the flute for twelve years now, and I bloody looove singing – as much as I adore listening to it. So, for today, I thought it’s time to share my passion about this topic and tell you my 4 fave songs, which I’m listening to 24/7 at the mo.

The first song I want to talk about is Guilty Party from The National. Well, if you know me IRL and we’ve ever chatted about our fave bands, I’m sure I mentioned this aaawesome indie band, because just so so beautiful, different and calm music. They’re gonna release a new album in September and I’m really looking forward to pick up a disc – which I haven’t done in ages but I’ve the feeling that I need one from this album. However, they’re already publishing a few of the new singles and they’re all really good, but Guilty Party is my fave – and it makes me cry every time I’m listening to it!

Enough from new releases, I’m the kinda gurl who rakes out music which I listened years ago – I just love singing along and knowing all the lyrics! For this summer, I found myself reenjoying the band The Black Keys and especially the album El Camino is great! If you’ve never heard of it, go check out the song Lonely Boy– it’s really good. But there’s one song, which I love even more and it’s called Gold On The Ceiling, which I always need to listen on the highest volume possible and sing – or scream – along! Caution – very likely to become a haunting melody for two days.

If you’re asking me, which is my ultimate summer song of 2017, I’d answer without doubt “Whole Wide World” from Cage The Elephant. It’s just a super friendly, happy, summery song – and for me one of the best mood boosters at the mo! Besides that, if you’re looking for a new indie band, try out this one – I think their music is really cool.

For last but by no means least, my fave song of the last few weeks was On My Own from the musical Les Misérables. Do you know the situation, when you’re listening to an album the first time and there’s one song you don’t like at all, but when you’re listening to it months later, you love it? Well, that’s how I feel about On My Own. However, it’s really great for singing along and getting quite emotional. And again, you need to watch this musical –there’s Eddie Redmayne in it *sigh*.
